About the Role

The primary responsibility of the Talent Promoter and Engagement Specialist role is for providing high quality engagement services to external clients at all levels as well as effective liaison with relevant internal stakeholders in providing these services.

The role involves making outbound calls to clients to engage and schedule them into Career Assistance and/or Transition programs with LHH FESCO.

The role is also responsible for coordinating and booking notification appointments for Consultants to ensure our customers and clients receive an industry leading service

The incumbent is required to demonstrate a high level of Customer Service, logical thinking and problem solving to successfully deliver on service levels. A high degree of flexibility and initiative in order to deliver on activities and tasks are also required. 

Major Responsibilities

Talent Promoter Role

  • Conduct 1-to-1 sessions with individuals to gain understanding of their experience, key areas of expertise, aspirations and target companies

  • Utilise a number of proactive approaches to connect individuals with hiring organisations such as reverse marketing to prospective and active clients within the LHH FESCO portfolio, connect to employment agencies and leverage relationships within the Adecco brands

  • Organise career fairs, employer spotlight sessions and employer tours as required by client projects

  • Work in collaboration with skill councils, state training companies and RTO’s to keep abreast of government funding and training schemes

  • Provide training on a range of LHH and external job search and application tools

  • Support individuals referred by LHH consultants (outside of projects) to provide job search assistance

  • Assist the International Transfer Manager by providing 1-to-1 remote or face to face meetings with candidates from international branches providing an overview of the Australian job market

  • Work in collaboration with corporate clients and employment agencies in the LHH FESCO network to  support them in their recruitment needs, creating opportunities for career transition clients

  • Create job advertisements and upload onto Job Scout, social and professional networking sites to drive roles to individuals

  • Introduce employment opportunities to individuals undergoing a career transition program, tailor resumes and conduct job specific mock interviews

  • Present regular updates on employment trends across a wide variety of industries in the marketplace to JSWT (Job Seeker Work Team)

  • Work in collaboration with the Account Managers providing input on bids and tenders

  • Compile MI reports for key stakeholders on projects

  • Network with business chambers and industry groups to raise awareness of employee groups to create job openings

  • Work in collaboration with our national network of consultants responding promptly to referrals of individuals requiring JMC support, corporate clients requiring recruitment assistance and general brainstorming for alternative career opportunities for individuals with disabilities or geographical restrictions

Engagement Specialist Role

  • Reach out to assigned candidates on a daily basis via telephone to discuss the service offering with the view of scheduling the first appointment

  • Take all incoming candidate calls where the candidate is initiating the first point of contact into Lee Hecht Harrison for the program/service to commence

  • Ensure call backs into Lee Hecht Harrison for already engaged candidates are maintained with the view of scheduling the first appointment, in full on time

  • Ensure all relevant outreach notes in Orbit are completed in full and on time for all candidate calls, allowing transparency of all client contact

  • Maintain data integrity of information in Orbit

  • Manage consultants’ Outlook diary and book candidate appointments on their behalf

  • Manage engagement list and call backs to meet tight engagement deadlines

  • Understand the varying engagement requirements for each client and handle all calls/contact accordingly

  • Understand the Lee Hecht Harrison service offering and provide detail to candidates ensuring we meet or exceed the required internal engagement rate

  • Where required, provide emotional support to candidates upon contacting them

  • Provide feedback on any concerns relating to any specific candidates contact or phone call to your manager as soon as practicable

  • Ensure all contact information is correct for candidates and follow up with relevant Account Manager or client as required

  • Follow up with active candidates who have been dormant for two weeks via phone to assess their situation and action as required

  • Contact candidates who submit an interim or completed negative evaluation and action as required

  • Resolve interim and completed negative evaluations and escalate to your manager where required

  • All other engagement related activities as required

Required Experience / Characteristics
  • Strong Customer Service/Customer Experience Focus

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Highly organised and efficient

  • Performance driven mindset to achieve the highest standards

  • Tertiary level qualification in human resources, psychology, career coaching or facilitation or a similar/related discipline

  • Professional telephone techniques applied with LHH FESCO on standards upheld at all times

  • Demonstrated advanced PC skills with the ability to pick up internal systems quickly and effectively

  • Knowledge of Career Transition services or coaching is favorable
