  • Manage Product Development (PD) team with specific focus on New Product Development
    (NPD) in terms of:
     Long-term product and portfolio strategy and roadmap
     Short-term product mapping, planning and developing
     Managing the execution to ensure on-time launch against customers’ business
    expectation
    2. Direct product management team on seasonal merchandise proposal to clients aiming to:
     Addition of new products
     Derivations of existing product
     Adaptations/new uses of existing products
     Elimination of low selling or un-profitable product
    3. Drive consumer obsessed, market centric and data-oriented approach to deliver profitable
    product assortments to enable growth ambition of YOY.
     Trends – Be educated on and understand emerging macro and category trends. Meet
    with clients prior to seasonal kick off to probe and understand new business initiatives.
     Competition – Understand competitor’s product, brand positioning, price, and
    promotions, channels of distribution, strengths and weaknesses.
     Consumer Market Research - Synthesize market research findings to gain consumer
    insights into new market segments or product categories.
     Sell Through analysis – Compile and analyse customer sell through information.
    Understand internal and external factors that impact selling.
    4. Lead creative team consist of industrial & graphic designers to continuously create client
    and consumer loved products against product strategy and roadmap via
     Achieving solid understanding of customer brand
     Providing consumer centric creative direction to guide product innovation in support of
    customers’ business growth from concept to shelf
     Motivating and growing industrial design and graphic designs team to ensure the
    works are aligned with company innovation direction, customer needs and brand
    positioning as well as support retail launching and performance.
     Supporting commercial leaders on strategic planning
     Enabling successful customer meeting and presentation

任职要求

  •  10+ year experience in strategic planning and management of New Product
    Development, merchandising experience with internationally recognized brands. With
    creative management experience and design background is a plus.
     Solid knowledge of Asia Pacific market in terms of overall market insights, consumer
    behavior and design trends
     Industrial Design, graphics knowledge is a plus.
     Experienced with retail product development by season and promotion.
     English and Mandarin Chinese language proficiency.
     International travel with no visa restriction is preferred.
     Willing to be based in Shanghai, China.
     Lifestyle/Home living/fashion industry experience is preferable.
     Marketing experience is a plus.
