• Brief Introduction of the position
  
  This position ensures the dimensional evaluation and analysis of car body (Off-Line), in accordance with Volkswagen standards, TQS and Volkswagen measurement strategies. The position ensures that the relevant parts and assemblies fulfill the dimensional requirements in accordance with the technical drawing, it supports the dimensional problem resolution process in Volkswagen Anhui.
  Achieve the yearly goals defined for the position.
  Ensure all dimensional evaluations in accordance with VW Measurement Technology standards and TQS
  Ensure car body measurement functionality for dimensional evaluation of parts and assemblies (off-line)
  Generate the corresponding dimensional reports after car body evaluation, including a statement if the dimensional requirements in accordance to the technical drawing are fulfilled or not
  Analyze the dimensional deviations and make suggestions to ensure that the evaluated part fulfills the requirements in accordance to the technical drawing
  After the car body dimensional analysis, give a technical recommendation to release or reject the assembly
  
  
  Key Tasks
  
  Support planning activities for the car body measurement analysis in Volkswagen Anhui
  Perform car body measurement analysis, following the established plan, to identify process deviations and start problem resolution.
  Create car body evaluation reports, including a clear statement if the assemblies fulfill the dimensional requirements.
  Assemble and disassemble of parts in car body functional area to perform dimensional evaluation.
  Operate the CMM machine and optical measurement equipment; including offline programming of CMM.
  Track the dimensional deviation points that should be optimized on the relevant parts/assemblies. Support the root cause analysis to solve dimensional deviations.
  Start the escalation process immediately in case of critical dimensional deviations (relevant to the vehicle function)
  Validate the tolerances defined in the technical drawing and PMP; validate the measurement as well.
  Plan and validate car body measurement fixtures.

• Qualifications and skills
  
  Academic requirements:
  
  Bachelor Degree in Engineering or other higher technical education:
  
  Preferably in Mechanical or Vehicle Engineering.
  
  (Advanced Professional Training)
  
  
  
  Specific Training:
  
  In automotive technologies
  
  Knowledge of Processes of the Automobile Industry
  
  Knowledge of Quality Methods: VDA, FMEA, QPN, 8D, ...
  
  
  
  Languages:
  
  English, German (optional)
  
  
  
  Experience:
  
  · Minimum of 3 years of measuring technology experience with automobile background
  
  · Engineering / technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial)
  
  · Experience with 3D-Measurement Equipment
  
  · Experience with Measurement Software
  
  · Strong knowledge of coordinate systems and Alignments
  
  · Measurement Proficiency
  
  · Experience in metrology
  
  · Experience on automotive manufacturing
