• Brief description of the position/ Range of responsibility
  In this role, the Data Privacy Officer (DPO) shall ensure that the data protection and data privacy management activities are appropriately handled and linked with the relevant business and decision process in order to further spread the data protection culture across the organization.
  
  Key tasks:
  
  * Responsible for handling personal data processing matters and ensuring protection measures are planned, executed and regularly checked.
  * Responsible for supervising Data Privacy matters and ensuring protection measures are adopted.
  * Supervising all Data Privacy related regulatory and compliance activities and responsibility for data protection related regulatory filings & reportings.
  * Develop local Data Privacy policy, guidelines and regulations and monitoring both local and other relevant data protection regulations impacting VWA and adapting the local Data Privacy policy to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  * Training, informing and providing consultative advice to all the areas and functions of the company with regard to Data Privacy matters as well as coordinating with the local teams (including Legal, HR, Integrity & Compliance, Risk Management) on data protection matters.
  * Keeping Top Management and other interested stakeholders informed about their responsibilities with regard to Data Privacy and Data Protection.
  * Communication and reporting to the local data protection authority and other relevant regulators, attendance at Data Privacy / Data Protection authority inspections, handling audit submissions and other information submission requirements.
  * Collaborating with the functions responsible to manage requests of data subjects (including employees, clients and other third parties) i.e., rights of access, rectification, cancellation and similar requests.
  * Organizing self-assessments, appraisal, rating to ensure compliance with VWA policies on cross-border data transfer, and Data Privacy requirements.
  * Other relevant tasks assigned by direct supervisor and CDO.

任职要求

• Qualification and Skills:
  * At least bachelor's degree, master's degree in relevant fields of Data Privacy / Data Protection is an advantage.
  * 8 years minimum of experience in Data Privacy/Data Protection, IT Compliance, Data Management or other relevant fields; minimum 5 years' experience in Data Protection / Data Privacy area.
  * Fluent in Chinese, excellent English skills (oral and written)
  * Detail orientated, hard-working and good team player
  * Excellent communication (especially towards senior and top management) and interpersonal skills
  * Good reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  * Good ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time.
  * In-house DPO experiences preferred.
